Our Foundation Structure: The Scott Family Intl. Foundation is a Private Foundation incorporated in the Cook Islands with global reach and impact. Our U.S. operations are conducted through The Scott Family Intl. Foundation U.S. Inc., a Delaware corporation with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status as a Private Foundation, based in New York, and structured to enhance our domestic philanthropic capabilities.
The Scott Family Intl. Foundation exists to transform lives and communities through strategic philanthropy aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. As a Civil Society Organization with the UN Economic and Social Council and member of the UN Global Compact, we address root causes, create systemic change, and build pathways to opportunity for those who need it most. We believe that every person deserves the chance to overcome their circumstances and create a legacy of contribution.
A world where your starting point doesn’t determine your destination—aligned with the UN’s vision of leaving no one behind. Where every child has access to quality education (SDG 4), every person has a pathway to economic mobility (SDG 8), and every community has the resources to thrive in peace and justice (SDG 16). We envision a future where yesterday’s challenges become tomorrow’s contributions to sustainable development.
As a Civil Society Organization with the UN Economic and Social Council and member of the UN Global Compact, we:
Economic empowerment and asset-building programs.
Educational access and scholarship programs.
Workforce development and entrepreneurship support.
Criminal justice reform and social equity initiatives.
Governance reform and justice advocacy.
We treat every dollar as an investment in human potential. Our rigorous evaluation process ensures that grants create maximum impact while maintaining fiscal responsibility to our donors and stakeholders.
Every person we serve deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of their circumstances. We partner with organizations that share this commitment and work to eliminate barriers that perpetuate inequality.
Trust is earned through action. We maintain complete transparency in our operations, publish detailed impact reports, and hold ourselves accountable to the communities we serve.
The biggest challenges require collective solutions. We actively seek partnerships with other foundations, government agencies, and private sector leaders who share our commitment to systemic change.
Hope without strategy is just wishful thinking. We rely on data, research, and proven methodologies to guide our grantmaking while remaining flexible enough to support innovative approaches.
